Dear Mr. iJobs,
Having to install iTunes in order to update my Quicktime plugin is really really iAnnoying.

If you look at the bottom center of your photo, you can click there to install the Standalone QuickTime Player. I had the exact same reaction as you until I found that… http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone.html
