Collected

Obviously I don’t dislike pictures. But I have a problem with taking pictures to try and ‘hold on’ to a moment. Because as soon as you’re trying to hold it, you’re not actually experiencing it. I contradict myself a lot on this. I am aware of it though. So instead of taking pictures at a get together I decided to collect some things from people that were there and have them write their names. My only criteria was that I couldn’t get the same thing from two different people (except once, I got two eyelashes from close friends) It was fun:

Rice Boy

Rice Boy

This is Rosemary: A large blue nocturnal female person who lives in the Matchwoods. She enjoys eating things that produce light. She is a friend of Rice Boy, and is pretty lonely because he’s asleep when she’s awake. I think she’s kind of a bitch, but I forgive her.

Rice Boy might be a prophet. The One Electronic thinks so but Rice Boy is not so sure. Poor Rice Boy.

Stack of Semi-Useful Books

It’s 3:37am, I looked at the clock exactly an hour ago. I’m tired, I don’t want to sleep. I’m sleeping I don’t want to be tired. I’m dreaming.

I want to call someone but I’m too thirsty.

I fell asleep earlier trying to watch the end of a movie. Then I couldn’t sleep.

Posted some new artwork:

Actually they’re all old. They just make sense now. Probably not.

Not much exercise today, that’s probably why I feel like not sleeping.

How about some tea. I highly recommend this:

Senator Map

If you use the internet, this is extremely important. Click above to find out how your senator stands on the issue of Net Neutrality. At the moment of this post it’s 20 for Net Neutrality and 12 against. But there are 64 undecided and 4 waffling.

I can’t stress how important this decision is.

Today

Today I just feel like drawing, writing poetry and writing/listening to music.

I have quite a bit of organizing to do at home. I’m ready to gut everything I have (again) and put it into some airtight organization (for the first time). The concept of cleaning my desk so I can put new things on it. All the ‘desks’ of my personal life have been overflowing for a while. This way I can only concentrate on the top layer and tend to forget everything underneath until they start burning. Then I start frantically waving my hands in the air and flying sharks start eating everything and I weep like a puppy while ants bite my ankles, all my hair falls out and I start cutting stars out of construction paper.

If you find yourself in the same position and feel overwhelmed, I highly recommend this: Getting Things Done

$9?! There’s no reason not to buy it. (Also I make absolutely no money from you buying. That’s right. I am promoting this free of charge. Not possible in today’s world you say! Bah!)

Sorry about that. Just buy it and also read it and also create your own system.

That said, I definitely need a weekend to get started. I have a feeling I’ll find myself at Tyson’s Corner again tonight. It is soothing. Artificial everything, everywhere. Then like a wine glass to the forehead all these sincere moments of pure humanity.

A corral reef. A garden. A zoo.

Every reciprocated smile is an explosion of life.

My Beating Blog

My Beating Blog is an attempt to take the journaling aspect of blogging into a surrealistic future, in which the blog author literally and metaphorically bares his heart. The artist-blogger wears a GPS-enabled Heart-rate monitor throughout parts of the day, then blogs the data along with matching personal experiences, events, and musings.
